National Webinar on the occasion of World Environment Day

This is the true beauty of nature, on 6th June 2021, the ADR Cell of University School of Law and Legal & Studies, GGSIPU in association with South-West Delhi Legal Services Authority conducted a National Webinar on the occasion of World Environment Day. The event was graced with the presence of Ms. Manu Goel Kharb, The Secretary of South-West DLSA and Keynote speaker of the day, Ms. Richa Malik founder of the “The Happy Turtle Project.  The workshop commenced with the welcome address by the Dean of USLLS Dr.Prof. A.P. Singh Sir, leading to the address by Ms. Manu Goel. She apprised the gathering about the various legal aspects and provisions to ensure the protection of our environment.  Heading further the workshop was taken over by Ms. Richa Malik, she briefed the audience about the ill effects of the usage of plastics and how can one reduce the same. The workshop proceeded unconventionally and interactively, which was mainly audience-oriented. She made the attendees aware of the various environment-friendly substitutes for plastics. The key takeaway from the event was the concept of 5 Rs, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and the implementation of the same over the commodities used by people in their day to day life. Lastly, in the denouement, the Chief Guest and the Key Note speaker were gratefully presented with the vote of thanks by the Faculty Coordinator of the event.
